AFC qualifiers: Nepal drawn against Asian heavyweights

KATHMANDU, JUN 06 –
Nepal have been drawn in a tough group of the AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers that will be held in different venues from September 28 to October 6.

Divided in a six-team West Zone, Nepal are pitted in Group ‘E’ alongside Asian heavyweights Jordan, Kuwait and hosts Iran. The West Zone consists of 25 teams divided into six groups, while the East Zone consists of 18 teams divided into four groups.

Group winners from each pool along with five best runners-up will make it to the tournament proper, which will be hosted by Bahrain next year.
