AL AHLI battled Qalali to a 2-2 draw yesterday in the third round of the second division Bahrain Football League held at Al Reef Union in Shahrakan.

Nasser Mohammed hit the first goal in the 7th minute for Qalali before Al Ahli levelled up after Milan Marinkovc found the back of the net in the 18th minute.

In the second half, Al Ahli took the lead, thanks to Hussain Al Shakar’s penalty kick in the 47th minute.

However, Qalali striker Nasser Mohammed scored the equaliser from the penalty area in the 85th minute and the match eventually ended in a draw.

With the result, Al Ahli raised their total to four points, good for fourth place in this round, while Qalali picked up their first point as they moved to eighth place in the standings.

In the fourth round of the first division league, Al Hidd will take on Al Najma at Muharraq Stadium in Arad at 6pm today.
