Al Haddad second at Prague GP Event

Prague, Oct. 28. (BNA) – Bahrain’s top bodybuilder Sami Al Haddad was runner-up at the prestigious Prague Bodybuilding Championship entitled ‘EVL’s Pro Show’, held at the TipSport Arena here.

Al Haddad, the overall world bodybuilding champion and the first ever Amateur Mr Olympia, competed in the 212 Men’s Bodybuilding contest.

Al Haddad finished second behind winner and IFBB Pro Flex Lewis, the winner of Manchester GP.

On the occasion, Sami Al Haddad expressed delight at securing such a prestigious achievement for the kingdom, commending the contributions of the Bahraini Physical Education and Weight-Lifting Association, led by its Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al-Khalifa and his Deputy Chairman Ahmed Bahr.

Commenting on Al Haddad’s accomplishment, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al-Khalifa extended sincere congratulations to the wise leadership, the government and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for such a historic achievement.

He also credited Shaikh Nasser’s continuous support for Bahraini athletes for the recent sports achievement, adding that his directives to the BOC’s employees to provide the needed care for professional athletes has yielded unprecedented results for the kingdom.

He also hailed Al Haddad’s victory for engraving the kingdom’s name with silver letters in two consecutive professional body-building championships thanks to his outstanding performance, pledging Bahrain will surprise the world in the coming body-building championships.
