Al Jowder honoures winners of 2nd auto show competitio​n

Manama, March 2 (BNA) — General Organization for Youth and Sports (Goys) president Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder honoured the winners of the second auto show competition held at Al Murjan 4 Island in Durrat Al Bahrain.


The event organised by Durrat Al Bahrain in co-operation with Goys, and sponsored by Kuwait Finance House, Dream Polis, Al Bawab Contracting, Mohamed Ahmed Jassim Furniture Factory, besides local newspapers Al Bilad and Al Watan.

Al Jowder distributed prizes and certificates to the winners, including Classic class winner Ahmed Janahi. In second place was Abdulla Abdulghaffor, while Abdulla Abdulaziz Al Amadi finished third.

In the Classic Sport category, Mahmood Janahi came on top. He was followed by Riyadh Abdulla Jassim and Mohammed Al Els in second and third place, respectively.

In the Display category, Mubarak Adel Mubarak won the top award. Second place car is owned by Mubarak Adel Mubarak, with Khalifa Abdulla rounding off the podium.

A fourth class was introduced this year for the first time, a V8 Racing contest, which was won by Mahmood Ali Ahmed. Ali Hassan Mubarak followed in second place and Mahmood Ali Ahmed came third.

Competitions were supervised by a team of arbiters – Ahmed Adeeb, Tareq Ali Ahmd, Mohammad Ebrahim Kamal and Mohammed Hamza.

Al Jowder distributed prizes and certificates to the winners in presence of Durrat Al Bahrain chief executive officer Jassim Al Jowder, Goys youth and sports director Abdulrahman Askar and other invitees.

Early on, Al Jowder toured different parts of the car exhibition as he was briefed on the participating cars and the competition regulations.

Al Jowder affirmed that the exhibition is a true opportunity for motor fans in order to display their cars and scatter their creations in this area.

He stressed that the exhibition featured broad participation by various car owners in the Kingdom, who were keen to display their cars in a distinct and impressive way, which had contributed to the revitalization of motor shows in Bahrain.
