Manama, January 3 (BNA) – Independent MP Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee and Vice-President of the Independent Bloc, praised the role of Ministry of Interior and Coast Guard in thwarting four terrorist operations targeting the security of Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al-Mahmoud called everyone to the need to preserve the Kingdom’s security and not to be attracted by external forces that want to undermine Bahrain.

Al-Mahmoud said that the preliminary reading of what happened at the end of December last year, including the discovery of an attempt to smuggle explosives and weapons into the Kingdom by a person residing in Iraq, who was linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.

Also, that element attracted and recruited young people from the Kingdom to harm the country through the religious slogans and the exploitation of religious discourse in igniting sedition among the people of Bahrain.

Al-Mahmoud highlighted that all of those events stress that there are international parties that want Bahrain to have a scenario similar to what is currently happening in some Arab Countries.

MP Al-Mahmoud asserted the vigilance of the security men and their love for their Kingdom which was the basic factor in discovering such terrorist acts, pointing out the dangerous explosive materials seized and announced, and how the security men dealt with that, and how they arrested those who smuggled them.

MP Al-Mahmoud reinforced the dedication of the security men in performing their duties, and their willingness to sacrifice their lives and blood for the redemption of the Kingdom.

MP Al-Mahmoud stressed the need for using the reason by everyone loving Bahrain, highlighting that thought should not be confronted with violence but through dialogue, exchange of ideas, and reaching points of understanding.

Al-Mahmoud said that violence and terrorism will always lead to destruction and devastation for everyone, whether those who commit them or affected by them, ending up with a loss for all parties without exception.

Meanwhile, MP Al-Mahmoud asked Almighty Allah to preserve Bahrain and its people from all evil, and gathers them together on love of Bahrain and achieving the common interests.
