Al Salam Bank-Bahrain supports the Professional and Business Women Club

HH Shaikha Hessa welcomed the President and board members of the Club, “hailing the important role being played by this distinguished Club to support the Bahraini woman in business pioneering and enabling her in various economic domains,” a statement said.

She affirmed that “such institutions push forward the role of the Bahraini woman and give her the opportunity to actively contribute in uplifting the living standard of the Bahraini society.”

She pointed “in this respect to what the Bahraini woman has achieved in various economic, social and political arenas, the matter that affirmed the level of influence she constitutes in progressing the reform process which was initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and with the close follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.”

The Club’s President Shaikha Hind pointed out that the club, which is a branch of the International Club present now in more than 95 countries, aims at providing support to the Bahraini woman in the fields of training, variety of handicrafts to enable her economically.

Shaikha Hind clarified that the Club focuses on combining between handicrafts and professions and to create suitable work environments to enable the Bahraini woman of practicing a productive and constructive work that would enhance the society economic level. She added that the Club also supports the potentials and skills of the Bahraini woman and guide her to how to utilize them towards enhancing her economic and social status.

She pointed out that the Club also endeavor to attract support and sponsorships from various institutions in Bahrain, and in this regard, she expressed gratitude and appreciation to the financial support which the Bank has donated to the Club, which she said will greatly contribute in achieving the Club’s strategic goals toward developing the Bahraini woman.

The Professional and Business Women Club-Bahrain Chapter, established in December 2012, will work on holding seminars, training workshops and conferences and activities relevant to the Club’s activities and issue publications that serve the Club’s set objectives.

The Club will also cooperate with pertinent government bodies to enable women of limited income and productive families to enter the market with the support and backing of the Club’s members.
