Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has said it continues to engage with industry peers on global platforms in expanding aluminium’s reach across diverse territories.

Alba’s continuing commitment is demonstrated through sponsorship support for the just concluded Aluminium Symposium 2015, held in Arizona, US, the company said in a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Alba officials who attended the event include chief marketing officer Jean-Baptiste Lucas, Europe and Americas manager for sales and marketing Boris Santosi, and manager for strategy and business development Zachary Jungers.

The symposium covered a wide range of subjects including: ‘The Automotive Game Changer’; ‘Extrusions – New Demand and Changes in Billet Capacity’; ‘Production Midwest Aluminium Premium – Current Trends and New Directions’; ‘Shifting Dynamics for Aluminium in Brazil’ and ‘The Fight for Scrap Growth in 5000 and 6000 Series Auto Alloys’, among others.

“Alba’s support for the event shows our commitment to global initiatives that help in boosting closer interactions between members of the aluminium industry, as well as seeking newer business opportunities across global territories,’ Lucas said.

The symposium was organised by Platts, a provider of energy, petrochemicals and metals information. – TradeArabia News Service
