Alba Power marks key milestone

A luminium Bahrain’s (Alba) commitment to boost productivity, increase capacity and enhance reliability of Pot Lines 1 and 2 were bolstered with the successful completion of Pot Lines 1 and 2 Rectiformers Replacement — one of the first brown field projects of this magnitude anywhere in the world.

The entire project — managed by Alba Power Project Department with their primary contractor Alstom Grid SAS — was completed with over one million work hours without a single lost time injury.

Alba’s CEO Tim Murray complimented the project team on this achievement during a ceremony held recently at the Alba Club.

The new units were custom made for Alba by Alstom Grid SAS. They are packed with 30 per cent higher capacity equipment while some units are being installed with cross-connection facilities to provide additional back-up power to Pot Lines 1 – 3.

Libshara offers chance to win four prime plots

KFH-Bahrain has announced another first at the launch of its new Libshara Savings Account campaign. Libshara, known to give away grand prizes of luxury villas and monthly cash prizes to their customers, now look to reward customers even more. The new campaign provides the chance to win prizes worth over $2 million and is the first savings account to offer grand prizes of four large golden plots of prime land, each measuring 5,380sq ft, in Sarat, Diyar Al Muharraq.

Khalid Rafea, executive manager head of the banking group at KFH-Bahrain, said: “We are delighted to offer our loyal clients the new Libshara campaign with even greater prizes. Our first campaign was a great success and it attracted many clients because above and beyond the monthly cash prizes, the unique grand prizes of winning one of two luxury villas made their dreams a reality.”

“It is noted that this account was named ‘Libshara’ because it is an Arabic vernacular meaning of the announcement of unexpected great news and this continues to be the aim of the grand prizes in the new campaign. The launch of this campaign reflects the continuous efforts of the bank to reward clients with something unique,” he added.
