Arab interior ministers condemned “Iranian support of terror operations in Bahrain and Yemen” during a meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday (March 13th), the official Bahrain News Agency reported.
The meeting, held to examine an Arab plan to combat terrorism, is the 30th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
During the session, the Council issued a statement titled “Riyadh Statement to Combat Terrorism”, in which the ministers rejected foreign attempts to disrupt the security of any Arab country, Bahrain’s Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said in a speech on behalf of meeting participants.
The Council condemned “Iranian support of terror operations in Bahrain and Yemen” and supported “efforts by Bahrain and Yemen to fight terrorism and the role security forces are playing in uncovering criminal plots”, the statement said.
The Council renewed its condemnation of all forms of terrorism and said it is committed to reinforcing Arab co-ordination and co-operation in combating terror plots and organised crime, the statement continued.
The Council also condemned the support and financing of terrorism, as well as blackmail and ransom operations by terror groups to finance their illegal activities.
