Atbahrain partners up with ‘Shop Bahrain’ Festival

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): Atbahrain, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, announced today that it has partnered with ‘Shop Bahrain’, the largest nationwide festival. The partnership paves the way for Atbahrain to rollout tailor-made packages for tourists travelling to the Kingdom during the 30-day festival held between 24th December 2015 and 24th January 2016.

Shop Bahrain will mirror the Kingdom’s position as a welcoming, accessible, family destination with an incredibly diverse range of retail experiences from luxury malls to traditional souks to luxury boutiques coupled with unbeatable bargains and promotions.

The partnership further cements the economic and tourism impact achieved by the inaugural Bahrain Shopping Festival held last year with participating retailers witnessing BD18 million worth of shopping while facilities such as hotels and restaurants services reported a growth of 16% in its customer base. The Kingdom is currently exerting efforts to revamp its infrastructure including modernizing the Bahrain International Airport, located 15 minutes from the capital. Furthermore, the hotel industry witnessed a growth of 4.7% in order with meeting the growing demands of tourists.

In line with its partnership, Atbahrain has created attractive tailor-made packages comprising of competitive airfare, hotel and ground transportation with an aim of creating a unique and hassle-free travel experience. Tourists can directly book the package on Shop Bahrain’s official website.
Furthermore, in order to attract tourists from the Gulf region, Atbahrain travel experts conducted a roadshow to promote and resell the packages to prominent travel agencies in a number of GCC countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mr. Benjo Vanlaarhoven, General Manager of Atbahrain, said: “Atbahrain is committed to connecting the dots in Bahrain’s travel and hospitality industry by bringing together organisers of key events, Bahrain’s leading hotels, the national carrier, ground transportation providers and government entities to create tailor made packages for visitors.
