Autumn Fair draws more than 50000 visitors in three days

Manama, Jan. 24. (BNA) — Thousands of people have flocked to the Autumn Fair 2014, one of Bahrain’s largest consumer exhibitions hosted by the kingdom.


Recent figures revealed that more than 17,000 people, from citizens, expat communities and neighbouring countries, particularly sisterly Saudi Arabia, visited the fair yesterday, the third day, which raises the total number of shoppers to nearly 50,000 in the first three days.


The 25th annual Autumn Fair is being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sanabis, under the patronage of Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro.

The fair was opened on January 21 and will run until January 29, and features 750 exhibitors from 21 countries, including more than 120 Bahraini companies, most of them supported by Tamkeen.

It is open from 10am until 1pm and 4pm until 10pm from Saturday to Monday. On Friday, it will be open from noon to 10pm, while on January 28 and 29 it will be open between 10am and 10pm.
Special women-only mornings will be held on Sunday and Monday. Tickets cost 700 fils, with entry free for children under five. Tickets will be available at kiosks outside the centre.
