Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): Arts Centre garden was planted today with 100 jasmine seedlings by children from the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO).
Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) held the event to mark the Commemoration Day, which was set by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the 17th of December of each year to honour the sacrifices of the Bahraini citizens and the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)’s efforts in protecting the Kingdom’s achievements.
BACA affirmed the importance of using national occasions to promote the local cultural identity and highlight the Kingdom’s humanitarian history.
The participation of RCO’s children represents a remarkable gesture that affirms the role of the coming generations in forming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s bright future.
BACA highlighted its events on the National Day celebrations until December 23, which will include Our Language Unites Our Culture 18 December, Little India In Bahrain 19 December, Draw of Cultural Tourism Passport Winners 18 December, Mohammed Bin Faris Layali Al Nagham Musical Group for Arab – Andalusian Music – Morocco 18 December, Al Hidaya Al Khalifia School Fundraiser 20 December, Magnificent Maharajah Splendor of Indian Royal Costumes 21 December- April 15, Your Destination Bahrain 22 December, Bahrain Police Music Band 23 December, Manama Post Office Opening (History and Documentation) 23 December.
