Ahlul Bayt News Agency – The Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS) said that 38 peaceful demonstrations were staged in a number of different areas across Bahrain. Some were subjected to collective crackdown, leaving at least 3 citizens injured.
BHRS said in a statement that the demonstrations took place in “Dar Kleb, Diah, Al-Sanabes, Abu Saiba, Al-Shakhoura, Barbar, Al-Maqsha, Saar, Samaheej, Nuwaidrat, Al-Qalaa, Shaherkan, Sadad, Tubli, Al-Diraz, Sanad, Athari, Bouri, Al-Hamla, Al-Koura, Al-Malikiya, Al-Naim, Al-Nabih Saleh, Al-Juffair, Sitra, A’li, Karzakan, Jebla Habshi and Bani Jamra.”
It further stated that the security forces used tear gas, shotguns and sound grenades to crackdown on protests in “Nuwaidrat, Karzakan, A’li, Al-Malikiya, Damestan, Al-Diraz and Sadad,” adding that 3 citizens were injured as they peacefully took to the streets of Al-Malikiya area.
BHRS also declared that it documented two arrest cases, one house raid in Al-Dair village, and four security checkpoints in ‘Manama, Al-Sanabes, Al-Berhama, and Bilad Al-Qadeem, in addition to recording rallies voicing solidarity with detainees in both A’li and Al-Nuwaidrat.
