Bahrain and China sign memorandum

Beijing, Oct27(BNA)Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federation of Chinese Chambers for the Promotion of International Trade. The move aims at promoting mutual trade, industrial and business interests and bolster joint economic relations between Bahrain and China.
A delegation led by BCCI First Deputy Chairman Othman Sharif Al-Rayyes sealed the deal with Chinese counterparts. The BCCI officials are part of a high-level Bahraini economic and business delegation which, currently on a ten-day visit to China in a bid to bolster cooperation and boost investments between the two friendly countries.
Mr. Al-Rayyes stressed the importance of exchanging visits and hosting joint events, exhibitions and gatherings as part of efforts to boost the volume of trade exchanges. He commended the efforts of the Economic Development Board (EDB) to attract Chinese investments to establish in Bahrain and mount joint ventures. The (BCCI) delegation led a series of meetings with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The team includes Abdulhamid Abduljabbar, Khalid Rashid Al-Zayani, Khalid Ali Rashid Al-Amine and Deema Rasool Al-Haddad.
