Bahraini security forces arrested several key members of the February 14 Youth Movement, the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported Wednesday (June 12th).
Leaders from the group, accused of working against the government, “frequently travel between Iran, Iraq and Lebanon to obtain financial and moral support as well as weapons training”, the news agency said.
These leaders interact “with leaders in Iran in order to receive direct financial support and field instructions” as well as supervise the transfer and storage of weapons into Bahrain, it said.
They also train group members on how to use various weapons, gang tactics, bomb-making, monitoring and recruitment, the BNA said.
It listed several crimes the group’s leaders and members are suspected of committing, including bombings and burning tires and cars.
Evidence gathered has also proven Hizbullah’s interference in Bahrain’s internal security affairs, the news agency said.
