Bahrain attends media training in Cairo

Manama, Dec21(BNA) The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) general-secretariat has taken part in the fifth training media course in Cairo, Egypt

Bahrain Radio senior programme anchor and Bahrain TV programme anchor Shaikha Isa Al-Shaalan and Salwa Ibrahim Al-Yassi attended the training on December 15-19 held under the theme “Media Campaigns Skills”.

The course is a core component of the Arab Women Media Strategy, advocated by the Arab Women’s Organisation (AWO).

AWO President Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak launched the strategy as head of the 2007-2009 session on the sidelines of the second conference held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi in 2008.

Established in 2002, the oraganisation includes sixteen member countries – Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen.
