Manama, Aug. 16. (BNA) – The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed full-fledged support for the statement of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the current situation in Egypt.
In a statement issued today, the Kingdom said it fully backed King Abdulla’s stances in support of brotherly Egypt’s “legitimate right to defend the vital interests of its people and protect them”, and against attempts to interfere into its domestic affairs.
King Abdulla’s stances are in response to the historical responsibilities towards the Arab Nation and the need to strengthen solidarity and cohesion among Arab countries and activate joint action in order to safeguard the common interests of the Arab and Islamic nations, the statement added.
The kingdom re-affirmed it would stand by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ in support of brotherly Egypt’s efforts to safeguard its security and stability and combat acts of violence, extremism and terrorism which resulted in massive losses, expressing sincere hope that brotherly Egypt will be able to overcome the current situation with the joint efforts of all its citizens as soon as possible in order to resume playing its pioneering role in the service of Arab and Islamic nations.
