Bahrain-based bank Khaleeji Commercial Bank has launched its new Al Jawahra City at the Lusail development in New Doha.
The company held an official launch for the scheme to investors and businessmen at an event in the city earlier this week.
The development, which will be in the the Al-Erkyah district of Lusail in New Doha, will contain a world-class medical facility, homes for up to 10,000 families, retail and community facilities, schools, a kindergarten, a souk, a mosque and a 146-room, 4-star hotel.
The development will spread over 257,175m2 of land some 22km north of Doha City next to Lusail, a wildlife park and a large golf course.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank board member Abdulla Showaiter said: “The Qatari market has shown clear signs of recovery early 2012. The value of projects in the country has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40% between 2005–2011.
“The impact of the forthcoming 2022 World Cup has been positive on Qatar’s estate market and will continue.
He said that Al Jawhara City has been developed in line with the country’s national sustainable development goals in mind.
“Al Jawhara city offers investors a gilt-edged investment opportunity to be a part of Qatar’s long-term growth mission,” he said.
Construction work started on the site began in March this year after an agreement was struck with master developer Qatari Diar.
