Bahrain blast that killed cop denounced

MANAMA: A policeman was killed and seven people, including a child, were injured in an explosion Friday evening in Manama, authorities said.
Four police officers were among the injured, one of them seriously, Information Minister Isa Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi said. Two parents and their child were hurt in the blast in Karanah suburb.
The minister said the explosives used in the apparent bomb attack was “very similar” to those seized by authorities last month which “came from Iran.”
Meanwhile, GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani condemned the act of terror. He called upon the international organizations to step up all efforts to root out terrorist groups and masterminds and dry up their sources of funding.
In July, authorities declared they had foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons from Iran. A few days later, two police officers were killed and six others injured in a bomb attack on Sitra island outside Manama.
