Manama-June13(BNA)Bahrainis have donated over 5000 used books to help children in Kenya. The Bahrain New Dawn Ladies Society coordinated the campaign with the Bahrain Women’s Development Centre (REYADAT) in support of the Charles and Rita Field-Marsham Foundation, a philanthropic enterprise focusing mainly on education, development and health in Africa.
REYADAT director Shada Al-Jalahma described cooperation with The Bahrain New Dawn Ladies Society as part of the social activities aimed at supporting women associations and promoting the efforts of the centre to spearhead women-run projects.
Zain Bahrain has also donated 200 schoolbags while ARAMEX offered to ship the consignment of books to Kenya as part of the charity campaign which attracted Bahrainis and residents.
