Doha-Jan1(BNA)Bahrain has today qualified to the semi-finals of the East Asian Football Championship. It topped the second group, along with Iraq and Oman, totaling two points each as all matches ended in goalless draws.

The organisers had to resort to a draw which enabled Bahrain to qualify to the semifinals to take on Jordan, which topped group3 after totaling 3 points. Host country Qatar, which topped Group 1 with 6 points will take on best second-placed team in the tournament Kuwait.
