BAHRAIN claimed the junior team title in the Second GCC Junior Championship in Muscat.
Ahmed Al Awadhi, Mohammed Hashim, Mohammed Al shehabi and Osama A Rahman compiled 4,730 points for an average of 197.08 and a high game of 843 to bag the title.
Saudi Arabian team of Sultan Al Masri, Fahad Al Dosari, Hassan Suqati and Abulrahman Al Kheliwi were second with 4,723 points for an average of 196.79 and a high game of 871.
Fawaz Al Basiri, Yousif Al Huti, Ali Jamal and Abdulla Al Dubaiyan of Kuwait finished third. Qatar was fourth, UAE fifth and hosts Oman sixth.
Bahrain’s Ahmed Al Gaoud claimed the youth title with a score of 4,015 for an average of 223.06 and a high game of 279.
Qatar’s Hazeem Al Muraikhi (3,904, 216.89, 257) was second and Ahmed Al Khaja of Bahrain (3,864, 214.67, 259) third.
Bahrain achieved a 1-2 in the ‘junior all events’ with Ahmed Al Awadhi finishing first with a score of 3,993 for an average of 221.83 and a high game of 276 while Osama A Rahman was second with 3,878 for an average of 215.44 and a high game of 258.
Saudi Arabia’s Hassan Suqati (3,789, 210.50, 268) was third.
Qatar’s Hazeem Al Muraikhi, Bader Al Deyab, Jassim Al Muraikhi and Ghanim Abojassoum won the youth team title with a score of 5,019 for an average of 209.13 and a high game of 1,027.
Bahrain’s Ahmed Al Gaoud, Mohammed Janahi, Husain Al Shehabi and Ahmed Al Khaja were second with a score of 4,998 for an average of 208.25 and a high game of 898.
UAE’s Majid Al Matrooshi, Mohammed Al Qubaisi, Obaid Al Saadi and Khamis Al Shamsi finished third with a score of 4,975 for an average of 207.29 and a high game of 872.
