Moscow, Mar21(BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain has swooped the Best New Pavilion Award at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT). The (MITT-2015) is the 22nd edition of the show which was inaugurated last Wednesday and concluded today in the Russian capital.

In a statement today, Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa described the MITT prize as a great honour for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Bahrain took part for the first time ever in the MITT expo which attracted in its 2015 edition 2065 exhibitors from many countries in the world, stressing the importance of the participation as part of effort to promote Bahrain as an attractive tourism and investment destination.

Apart from the tourism directorate, which is affiliated with the Industry and Commerce Ministry, the 56 square-metre pavilion featured 11 participants representing the private sector, including 4 and 5 star hotels, Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air, and Bahrain International Circuit.
