MANAMA: Bahrain yesterday strongly condemned Israel’s brutal shelling, which has left a heavy death toll among Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
In a statement yesterday, it voiced total rejection of violence, stressing the need to put an end to military operations and stop the bloodshed.
It urged the international community to act quickly and force Israel to respect international law and stop the atrocities perpetrated against the people in Gaza.
The statement also called on the international community to protect the Palestinian people and safeguard their inalienable rights and human dignity.
The ministry reiterated Bahrain’s support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Parliament chairman Dr Khalifa Al Dhahrani also denounced the Israeli aggression.
He urged the UN Security Council to intervene and also urged the International Parliamentary Union, the European Parliament, the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and human rights watchdogs to stop the Israeli atrocities..
