Bahrain constitutes a precedent in inter-faiths co-existence

Manama: Jan. 15 – (BNA): The Abdurrahman bin Kanoo Cultural Centre organized a public cultural discussion forum themed “Inter-faiths tolerance and its impact on national peace” in coordination with the Bahrain Co-existence and Inter-faiths Tolerance Society.

The forum hosted lecturers Al-Sheikh Ibrahim Mattar, Priest Hani Aziz, MP Nancy Khadoori and journalist Buthaina Khalifa Qassim. The forum was attended by large number of attendees from various religions, ethnicities, cultures in the presence of intellectuals, journalists and media professionals. Peace and tolerance prevailed throughout the event despite religious or ideological differences.


On the side-lines of the forum, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between Abdurrahman bin Kanoo Cultural Centre and the Bahrain Co-existence and Inter-faiths Tolerance Society aimed to launch a document of religious and doctrinal tolerance as part of a grand nationwide festival on February 14 to coincide with the upcoming anniversary of the National Action Charter.(IY)
