Bahrain Cricket: Shoaib Akhtar set to attend cricket finale

Manama: Former Pakistan Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar will be the chief guest at the final, starting at 3pm, of a cricket tournament to be organised by Coca-Cola Bottling Company on Friday at Busaiteen Ground.

Akhtar, a much feared fast bowler at his prime, is the brand Sprite ambassador.

The 40-year-old Akhtar from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, played in 46 Tests and claimed 178 wickets with an average of 25.69. He also played in 163 one-dayers and claimed 247 wickets with an average of 24.87and 15 T20s with 19 wickets for an average of 22.73.
