Paris, Nov. 3 (BNA): Bahrain was chosen unanimously as Vice President of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). The election took place during the 38th session of UNESCO’s General Conference which kicked off in Paris, France, in the presence of Heads of delegations from the organisation’s member states.
Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi decribed the achievement as a re-assertion of Bahrain’s standing at the international level and the global respect it enjoys after being elected unanimously to the post for the second consecutive time.
The accomplishment, he added, is a tribute for the kingdom’s diligent efforts and good reputation achieved thanks to the directives of the leadership.
