Ebrahim Al Hashel and playing partner Earl Fountain won the Viva Monday Madness Night Golf Series Order of Merit at Royal Golf Club with 11 points overall.
They finished in second place in two competitions and third on one occasion. Husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane were runners-up with nine points and Eid Adel Meftah and Abdulla Al Hakam third overall with seven points.
Youngsters Ali Al Kowari and Saud Al Sharif won the final competition of the six week series with a score of 31 on count back. Series winners Al Hashel and Fountain were runners-up on the last night, also with 31, and Meftah and Al Hakam third in the “Shambles” format competition with a score of 32.
Prizes
Ali Al Kowari won an additional prize for landing nearest to the pin on hole 12 while Hanne Hansen was closest to the pin on hole 16.
RGC’s tournament coordinater Sohail Singh presented the prizes to the winners.
A new Monday Madness Night Golf Series will get underway on September 14, sponsored by Porsche. The nine-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. Contact golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com for details.
