Bahrain hosts the First International Investment Forum on Entrepreneurship Next …

Manama, September 4th (BNA) –Head of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office for U.N. Industrial Development in Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Hashim Hussain announced Kingdom of Bahrain hosting of the First International Investment Forum on Entrepreneurship mid of next January, with the participation of about 1000 entrepreneurs from around the world.

In a statement for Bahrain News Agency (BNA), on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony of the trainees of entrepreneurs programme of the (UNIDO) under the patronage of Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Fakhroo, this morning, Dr. Hashim highlighted that preparations were underway in full swing to organize that Forum which is considered the first of its kind at the level of the region.

Dr. Hashim said that the Forum aims at stimulating the intraregional investments between the entrepreneurs from the regions of Asia, Africa, and the Arab World.

Dr. Hashim Hussain pointed out that work was underway at the present time to transfer the Bahraini model for entrepreneurship to 7 countries in Central Asia.

Dr. Hashim also said that the graduated trainees from the entrepreneurs programme were about 75 in the area of tourism, industry, services and consultations, 18 of them, and for the first time, were agricultural entrepreneurs to support the Bahraini young people in the field of preparing agricultural projects to bridge the gap of food security.

Dr. Hashim Hussain said that the programme of developing the agricultural entrepreneurs focuses on refining entrepreneurial skills by UNIDO for a length of time of 3 weeks, and then they are given technical training on farming skills by the relevant ministry, as well as enabling them to attain the administrative and funding services by the concerned authorities.
