MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro yesterday confirmed the government’s keenness to strengthen Bahrain’s relations with all countries, noting the strong trade ties between the kingdom and Italy, and confirming the importance of developing them through mutual visits and joint activities.

This came during a meeting with Italian Ambassador Alberto Vecchi and Italian-Bahraini Friendship Association (IBFA) chairman Ahmed Jawahery, who briefed the minister about the arrangements for the participation of a Bahraini business delegation in an Italian road show that will be held in the first quarter of next year.

The minister welcomed the delegation’s participation in such events and praised the efforts of the Italian envoy and IBFA in establishing a foundation for economic and cultural co-operation. He hailed the significant role played by the association in boosting economic exchanges.
