Bahrain king receives Khalid


MANAMA King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, received at Al Qudhaibiya Palace HE Khalid Bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of the Shura Council, along with chairmen of the GCC Shura, representatives, National and Ummah Councils, who are taking part in the 6th GCC Legislative Councils’ meeting held in Bahrain on Sunday.

King Hamad asked Khalid to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, wishing His Majesty good health and well-being and the Omani people further progress and prosperity. He also expressed his hope for the success of this meeting to come up with visions and recommendations that serve the interests of the GCC citizens and enhance frameworks of the Gulf integration.

The Bahrain king hailed the strong historic relations binding all the GCC countries, stressing the importance of the role of the GCC Legislative Councils in enhancing the blessed Gulf march and supporting its steps at the official and local levels.

The chairmen of the GCC Legislative Councils thanked the GCC Leaders for their continuous support to the work of these councils. They also expressed their thanks to King Hamad for the facilitation rendered by Bahrain to crown this meeting with success.

The meeting was attended by Crown Prince of Bahrain, HE Dr Sheikh Sulaiman Bin Saud Al Jabri, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Bahrain, and the GCC ambassadors to Bahrain.

Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain, received Khalid and Chairmen of the GCC Shura, Representatives, National and Ummah Councils.
