Bahrain marks Arab Orphan Day

Manama, April 4 (BNA)– The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) has organised the Arab Orphan Day festival at Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd. The event was held under the patronage of RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of RCO Board of Trustees member Salman Al-Dousari, members of the executive directorate, employees, orphans and citizens.


Marking the occasion which is held to celebrate the Arab Orphan Day (First Friday of April according to the Arab League), the RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed extended thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the RCO Honorary President, for his directives and constant keenness to provide care for RCO affiliates and support the organisation’s projects. He also commended the unflinching support of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to ensure a decent life for all citizens.

The RCO Secretary General also thanked Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his continuous follow-up on the work of the organisation and support to the programme which underscores the great care given to Bahraini orphans and keenness to boost social partnership.

The festival features various activities including a child play by Al-Bayader Theatre, a decoration and henna corner for children, games and recreational competitions, music and shows.
