Bahrain marks Earth Hour…

MANAMA: Landmarks across Bahrain yesterday took part in a global initiative to conserve energy. The Bahrain Financial Harbour, Al Fateh Islamic Centre (Grand Mosque), Isa Cultural Centre, Bahrain World Trade Centre, Seef Mall and several ministries and hotels switched off non-essential lights for 60 minutes to mark Earth Hour. Spearheaded by the World Wildlife Fund, it is supported by the UN and held in more than 150 countries.
