Bahrain News Agency | Bahraini-Ethiopian social cooperation discussed

Manama, July 14 (BNA): Social Development Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh held a meeting with Ethiopian Labour and Social Affairs Minister Abdul-Fateh Abdullah, on the sidelines of the kingdom’s participation in the Third International Conference on Financing for Development hosted by Addis Ababa from July 13 to 16.


The Social Development Minister underlined the government’s efforts to bolster relations with Ethiopia, pointing out the need to exchange views on ways of promoting cooperation between Bahrain and the African countries in general.

The minister also highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to carry out social development projects according to available resources, spotlighting projects implemented by the Social Development Ministry which won the appreciation of the UN.

On his part, the Ethiopian Minister thanked Bahrain for its unflinching keenness to further cement ties with Ethiopia and reviewed the projects implemented by the Ethiopian government to boost social welfare.

At the end of the meeting, the Social Development Minister presented the Ethiopian minister with an invitation to visit Bahrain soon and get updated on the social services provided by the kingdom.
