Manama, Jul 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister received a number of Royal Family members, senior officials and citizens who congratulated His Royal Highness on Eid Al-Fitr, wishing His Royal Highness and the Kingdom of Bahrain many happy returns in prosperity, welfare and blessings.
His Royal Highness said security and stability are two essential pillars for any society seeking progress and prosperity and their preservation is responsibility to be shouldered by everyone, asserting the significance of mustering efforts to achieve our aspirations for the homeland’s development and blossoming in various fields.
His Royal Highness talked about tourism and travel business activities during official and Eid holidays, asserting the need to provide facilitations required by visitors and tourists and to provide touristic attraction factors to activate tourism which in turn will be a powerful locomotive of the national economy.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of upholding the teachings of Islam, national norms and traditions during visits to foreign countries, pointing out that visitors or tourists are considered as ambassadors of their own country and therefore should showcase an urbane image that maintains and boosts the position of their country among countries of the world.
On the issue of Gulf and international affairs, His Royal Highness said the safeguarding and development of accomplishments and gains achieved by GCC countries call for collective efforts among these countries at all levels, urging to increase intra-GCC cooperation and coordination to fulfill the ambitions of their peoples.
His Royal Highness said the world is witnessing political activity and agreements which will have big impact and ramifications on various parts of the world which necessitates more vigilance and alertness vis-à-vis the challenges to which our region is subjected. His Royal Highness stressed the importance for relations between nations on the basis of mutual respect and that all countries must comply with non-interference in the affairs of other countries for whatsoever reasons or motives.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister praised the role of journalists and opinion writers and their analysis of various local and international issues in articles which they present, lauding their enlightening and cultural role as well as contributions in conveyance of public opinion issues and notifying officials and official bodies about them.
