Manama, July 24 (BNA): Member of the Representatives Council’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security MP Abdulrahman Rashid Bu-Majid has denounced all forms of Iran’s interference into the kingdom’s internal affairs, including hostile and irresponsible political stances, exporting terrorism, smuggling of weapons and explosives, harbouring of criminals, inciting sectarian sedition and hate and attempts to subvert the security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region.

Thanks to the unity of its citizens and their rallying behind the leadership, the vigilance of its security and military bodies in combating violence and terrorism, dismantling intelligence and terror cells and securing borders and vital installations, as well as strong Arab identity and belonging to the GCC and the Arab and Islamic nations, the kingdom is fortified against Iran’s conspiracies and interference, MP Bu Majid said.

He lauded the Bahraini people’s awareness and rallying behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, stressing that the honourable stances voiced by all components of the Bahraini society in response to the recent call by the Interior Minister represent a protective shield against the Persian ambitions.

He called for GCC, Arab and Islamic parliamentary stances at all regional and international gathering to deter Iran and put an end to its threats against the security, sovereignty and independence of Bahrain.

He asserted that Iran’s threats clearly violate all international conventions and treaties which affirm respect for the sovereignty of the UN member states and non-interference in their domestic affairs.

MP Bu Majid called upon the UN Security Council and the relevant international organisations to monitor Iran’s commitment to the terms of the nuclear deal, adherence and respect for the principles of International Legitimacy and using its financial resources in economic and social development to lift millions of its citizens out of poverty and unemployment instead of exporting its internal crisis and threatening its neighbours through spreading violence and terrorism and allowing its lands to be used in harbouring terrorist organisations and training them.

He affirmed that the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain are a red line, stressing that throughout history, the Bahraini citizens have proved commitment to Arab identity, loyalty to the nation and the leadership, strong support for the Royal Reform Project and commitment to unity among GCC countries, and, therefore, will not be misled by sectarian slogans.
