Manama, July 24 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa has affirmed that Bahrain’s security, stability and prosperity will make the leadership more determined to carry on the good governance approach, expressing pride in the kingdom’s development and progress strides.
The governor rejected Iran’s repeated blatant interference into the kingdom’s domestic affairs, stressing that investigations revealed the Iranian regime’s involvement in the regretful incidents that targeted Bahrain in 2011, and support for all terror groups in all GCC countries. He called on all components of the Bahraini society to rally together against Iran’s flagrant interference.
He lauded the Bahraini people’s rallying behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by his government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The Bahraini leadership and people are capable of standing together against the blatant Iran’s meddling and the provocative statements made by its officials, he said.
He commended the tireless efforts exerted by Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Interior Ministry’s affiliates and all the competent sides to defend the kingdom’s civilisational gains and respond to the provocative statements made by the Iranian regime.
The governor expressed pride in the patriotic call issued by the Interior Minister to respond to the rejected Iranian interference in the kingdom’s internal affairs, stressing that whoever fails to reject and denounce Iran’s flagrant statements accepts violent and terror acts aiming to undermine the nation’s security and stability.
He renewed the Interior Minister’s call on all national organisations, scholars, sheikhs, representatives of the Bahraini people and residents to join the sovereign national stance in rejection of Iran’s interference.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the kingdom and bless it with lasting security and stability under its leadership.
