Bahrain Olympic Committee President issues three decisions

Manama, March 13 (BNA) — Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa issued three decisions appointing Board of Directors for the badminton and squash and motor federations, in addition to electing an additional member for the shooting association.

Shaikh Hassam bin Isa Al Khalifa was re-elected president of the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation (BBSF) board, which also includes members Abdulla Buhazza, Ibrahim Kamal, Hisham Al Khan, Adnan Al Mahmoud and Marwan Matar.

The appointment of BBSF was in accordance to the first decision No. (13) for 2013, and after having heard the decree-law No. 5 of 1983 on the amendment of Amiri decree No. 2 of 1975 forming the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and decree No. 21 of 1989 on the law of associations and social clubs, cultural and private bodies in the field of youth and sports, its amendments, and the consolidated Model Regulations of sports federations.

In the second decision No. (18) of 2013, appointing a Bahrain Motor Federation board for a four-year term, Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa was named president in addition to 10 other members.

They are Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Rashid Al Zayani, Nawaf Al Hamer, Isa Al Awadi, Fayez Ramzi, Elie Semaan, Mazen Al Hilli, Abdulrahman Hassan, Yasser Hassan, Adel Darwish.

In the third resolution No. (17), Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was named additional member of the Bahrain Shooting Federation, whose term would be the same as for the board of directors set out in decision No. (3) of the year 2012.

The competent authority should implement these three decisions, both within its own specialties, and work from the date of issuance.
