Bahrain: Opposition Leader Indicted for Insults

An indictment was filed, Sunday, against Sheikh Ali Salman, the secretary-general of Bahrain’s Shiite opposition Al-Wefaq party, charging him with insulting the country’s Interior Ministry, according to the official state news agency.

Salman is the most senior figure to be indicted since the outbreak of protests by the Shiite majority against the ruling Suni minority.
