Bahrain projects in Egypt launched

Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): At the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and under the patronage of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the RCO’s secretary-general Dr. Mustafa al-Sayed has launched the Kingdom of Bahrain’s projects implemented by the Royal Charity Organisation in cooperation with Egypt’s Zakat and Alms House, including two complexes and two health centres built for al-Azhar al-Sharif in Egypt.
The launching ceremony was attended by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Dr. Nasser Fouad secretary-general of Egypt’s Zakat and Alms House, Egyptian Assistant Health Minister Dr. Hala Zaidan and several officials.

On this occasion, Dr. al-Sayed has submitted sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King for the royal directives citing the honour presented by this supportive humanitarian gesture to serve our brethren in Egypt which reflects the amicable bilateral ties between the leadership, government and people in both countries. He praised the huge support received by the RCO from the government led by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and commended the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in leading and running the humanitarian and charity work undertaken by the Royal Charity Organisation and offering aid to brotherly and friendly peoples and countries around the globe. Dr. al-Sayed said Egypt has given so much to Arabs, it has been the leader in science, arts and culture.

These projects are part of Bahrain’s support to Egypt which hosts more than 350,000 Syrian refugees and provides them with all services which puts its services sectors under pressure, asserting the need to contribute in the provision of the necessary support to Egypt according to the recommendations of the Donors Conference held in Kuwait regarding the importance of supporting the host countries which have become second home for our Syrian brethren.

Ambassador Shaikh Rashid lauded the great efforts of His Majesty the King in supporting charity and humanitarian work, affirming this project will stand in testimony of the unique historically-extending bilateral ties. Such projects will serve a large number of Egyptian citizens and Syrian brethren in terms of educational service. Dr. Nasser Fouad the secretary-general of Egypt’s Zakat and Alms House has expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King for extending the hands of giving for the benefit of people through supporting such leading humanitarian projects, lauding the Kingdom’s sustainable strategic development projects.

Egyptian Health Minister’s Assistant, Dr. Hala Zaidan, hailed HM the King’s customary humanitarian initiative which evidences that humanitarian work is the loftiest and best of deeds which come at the top of priorities of successful countries to development and advancement as it is directed to humankind first and foremost and only in consideration of reward and remuneration from Almighty Allah.

Dr. Hala Zaidan said the locations of health projects have been chosen according to the need to boost confidence, implant meanings of fraternity and cooperation with Bahrain in all provinces and to portray the extent of cooperation and bonds between the two countries’ leaderships, governments and peoples.
