A key memorandum of understanding was signed between the Bahrain Property Development Association (BaPDA) and Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), declaring its aim to establish the first institute for the training of real estate professionals in Bahrain.
It will also help in strengthening partnerships to provide training activities and develop the skills of the national force in the real estate sector.
This is also in line with the nationalization of jobs by making Bahrainis suitably qualified to become the first choice of employers.
The BaPDA Board Chairman Mr. Aaref Hejres signed the MoU with Dubai Land Department, Director General, Mr. Sultan Butti Bin Merjen on Thursday 5th Dec 2013. Key officials of BaPDA, Dr. Hassan AlBastaki, Vice Chairman, Dr. Maher Al Shaer, Treasurer and Mr. Mohamed Abdulkhaliq, Member were also present.
“We are pleased to sign this agreement that will help in the training of real estate sector and welcome suggestions from different stakeholders,” stated Mr. Hejres.
He said the specialized institute to be set up in Bahrain will provide vocational training to locals, besides holding workshops.
Mr. Hejres pointed out that the Dubai Real Estate Institute would provide expert guidance with faculty members conducting the training programs in line with international standards.
“This will be the first Association specialized in the real estate sector in the Gulf region and the Middle East, which will achieve its objectives in the development of the real estate sector of Bahrain and the Gulf.”
For his part, Mr. Mejres highlighted DREI’s positive outlook to leading the partnership with Bahrain, adding that the development of real estate sector in the GCC is crucial.
He also stressed that the two-year MoU will have different stages of development.
