Manama: Saligao Sporting  routed Salcete United FC 4-1 in the 11-a-side Young Goans Football League at  Al Ahli Club, Zinj.

Antonio Fernandes put Salcete United FC ahead in the fifth minute  while strikerTony Fernandes equalised for Saligao.

Fernandes found the net twice more for the seventh hat-trick of the league  while Zakaria Khan made it 4-1.

In other matches, Marina FC  defeated Kerala United 2-1.

Sajeesh Lazar put Kerala United ahead in the 15th  minute but  Marina FC hit back through Shihad Sidhik, who equalised with a penalty and then scored the match-winner.

Kanyakumari FC shocked Al Kerlawi FC by 3-2.

Shafiyoon Kabeer put Al Kerlawi FC ahead with a penalty strike. Lavin Leen of Kanyakumari FC levelled the score.

Mohammed Shereef made it 2-1 for Al Kerlawi FC. But Kanyakumari sealed the match with strikes from playmaker Stebin Peter and Babu Pilla.

Canacona drew 1-1 with league leaders Yuva Kerala. Nezen Vaz was on target for Canacona while Yuva Kerala scored through  Abdul MK Ali.

Showstoppers beat YGC 3-0 in the last match of the day.

A brace from Nizamudheen Jabbar and a strike by Hamsheed Kutty gave Showstoppers their fifth win in nine games.

Yuva Kerala lead the table with 21 points; Showstoppers are on 19, Saligao and Al Kerlawi on 16 each; Canacona 15, Salcete United FC 14, Marina FC 12, Kerala United  7, Kanyakumari 6 and YGC 1 point,

The second-leg matches will kick-off in mid February.
