Paris, Dec.12 (BNA): Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina met United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris, France.
The UN chief commended the Kingdom of Bahrain for supporting all initiatives and efforts led by the United Nations and its various agencies, extending thanks to the wise leadership.
He recalled his visit to Bahrain last year and hailed the warm welcome and hospitality he had found then, looking forward to revisiting the Kingdom anew.
He extended greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
Dr. bin Daina reiterated the stance which was expressed at the opening session by HRH the Crown Prince, who stressed Bahrain’s readiness to host the regional center of Green Climate Fund for West Asia.
