Manama, Dec. 2 (BNA): Interior Ministry Undersecretary Major-General Khalid Salem Al-Absi received today a delegation from Sacred Heart Church. He welcomed the guests, stressing that Bahrain has always been a gathering of religions and civilisations and a symbol for moderation and tolerance under the reform project of His Majesty the King.

He pointed out the directives of the Interior Minister to optimise the services of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation to meet international standards as part of the ministry’s comprehensive development scheme. He thanked the Sacred Heart Church for its efforts to promote inter-religious dialogue and tolerance.

The delegation hailed the efforts of the Interior Ministry to develop the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre, praising the advanced rehabilitation services provided for inmates and detainees to reintegrate them in the community.
