Bahrain to host key Islamic investment event

The Islamic Development Bank, a multilateral development financing institution, along with the Bahrain Economic Development Board will host the first Global Islamic Investment Gateway in Bahrain in March.

The event will take place on March 2 and 3, at the Gulf Hotel, and will be held under the patronage of HH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain.

The Global Islamic Investment Gateway will be a premier investment event for Islamic markets and will bring together key investment decision makers and opportunities to facilitate cross-border investment flows, said a statement.

Islamic markets represent the next frontier of high growth investment, and with a combined GDP of $6.7 trillion growing at an average of 5.4 per cent, and a population base of 1.6 billion people growing at twice the global rate, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
