Manama, Nov. 14 (BNA): Bahrain is set to host the Third international ‘Pipeline Operations Management – Middle East’ conference exhibition, at the Gulf Convention Centre, from April 11 to 14, 2016.
Held under the patronage of Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, the event is organised by Clarion Technical Conferences, Tiratsoo Technical and Global Webb Energy Consultants in cooperation with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), and supported by Saudi Aramco as platinum sponsor and Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Rosen Middle East and Clock Spring as silver sponsors.
Dr. Mirza expressed his appreciation to the organizers for holding the 3rd edition of the conference and exhibition in Bahrain, pointing out his delight about the important series, which showcased the best practices in pipeline operations and management, which advanced the safety of the global oil industry.
The Minister welcomed the decision to hold the series in Bahrain, pointing out that the Kingdom had been hosting a number of international conferences and specialized oil events. He said delegates gathered at such events discussed important oil industry issues at technical and strategic levels, in order to provide quality, with special focus on innovations, current challenges and feasibility studies. He said the events also provided unique networking opportunities to oil industry professionals in the Middle East and world over to consolidating relations with other leading companies.
The conference will be looking at a number of issues highlighted by the current industry situation and the future of oil pipeline projects in the region, both land and offshore developments. It will also explore solutions in areas such as leakage control and safe operations, as well as oil and gas economics, and the role of environment protection procedures for pipelines and energy conservation and transfer through pipeline systems.
More than 1000 participants from 33 countries are expected to participate in the event, including oil industry professionals, engineers and technicians from various local, regional and international companies specializing in safe operations and integrated pipeline management, the participating operators and suppliers being leaders in their respective fields, providing technical support to oil industry companies operating in the vital field.
A number of scholars from various world countries are expected to participate, going by the attendee profiles in similar global conferences and also the overwhelming participation in the hugely successful first and second editions of the conference in Bahrain. The event is expected to attract many national and international companies to exhibit their latest products, services and technology to their oil industry colleagues. It will also provide delegates an opportunity to meet and interact with representatives of exhibiting companies.
