According to a government statement, the cabinet on Sunday approved a project to rebuild and develop old residential areas and provide basic services for them.
In its first stage, the project will target 10 residential areas in al-Isa, Umm al-Hasm, al-Basitin, al-Sanabis, and al-Hidd cities, which will be rebuilt using distinguished architectural designs.
The project, which will run until 2018, also will provide 4,000 residential units in those cities, the statement said.
