Bahrain to take part in Malaysia Holy Quran competition

Kuala Lumpur, June 20 (BNA)– Contestant Ali Abdulrahman Al-Refae will represent Bahrain in the International Quran Recital Competition in Malaysia from June 16 to 21.


Reciter Al-Refae is a gifted Bahraini youngster who has learnt all the Holy Quran by heart. He is also member of a programme to prepare competitors for international competitions in memorising and reciting the Holy Quran which is supervised by the Directorate of the Holy Quran Affairs at the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry.

Bahrain is participating for the sixth time in the contest and achieved leading places in previous editions.

Contestant Al-Refae is accompanied by Shaikh Himdan Khalid Hussain, a Holy Quran Affairs Directorate memorisation centres specialist.
