Bahrain Wins Friendly Match against Singapore

Manama, Feb. 1. (BNA) – Bahrain National Football team today beat Singapore 3-1 in a friendly match held at the National Stadium in Riffa.


Head coach Gabriel Calderon relied on new players, including mainly Ali Mahmoud, Sami Al Hussaini and striker Abdulla Youssef.

The game is part of the two teams’ preparations from the qualifiers of the Asian Football Cup of Nations, 2015.

Bahrain will take on Yemen in a group ‘D’ encounter in Dubai on February 6, while the Singaporeans will play Jordan in a group ‘A’ tie in Amman that same day.
