Brussels, Jan 27 (BNA) – Bahrain parliamentary delegation today met with a number of European Union Parliament’s members on the sidelines of activities of This is Bahrain held by Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations in Brussels, Belgium.

The parties reviewed means of promoting parliamentary cooperation and activating friendship committees.

Bahrain’s delegation gave an overview to correct the inaccurate image of Bahrain that many past stances had been based upon.

The delegation also briefed their European counterparts on Bahrain’s efforts in promoting human rights and prisoners and detainees rights.

The European parliamentary members expressed delight in the openness enjoyed by Bahraini delegation members.

Bahrain’s delegation consists of Chairman of Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, MP Issa Al-Kooheji, Chairman of Human Rights Committee, MP Khalid Al-Shaer, Shura member Dr. Mohammad Al-Khusai, and Deputy Chairman of Human Rights Committee, MP Adil Hameed.
